Transition to Employment Services

In addition to Workplace Training, Prospect offers up to 12 weeks of individualized career support through our Transition to Employment Services . This includes:

  • Career assessments and personalized career planning

  • Short- and long-term goal setting

  • Resume, cover letter, and job application support

  • Effective job search strategies

  • Identification of transferable skills

  • Funded short courses to boost job readiness ( eligibility criteria apply )

  • Interview preparation and personal presentation skills

  • Networking and direct connections to potential employers

  • Labour market information and job retention support

  • Life management, employability, and essential skills workshops


Who Can Access This Program?

This program is available to:

  • Unemployed or underemployed Albertans (working fewer than 20 hours per week)

  • Individuals seeking to enter or re-enter the workforce

  • Job seekers living in the following communities:
    Airdrie, Strathmore, Cochrane, Crossfield, Chestermere, Springbank, Carseland, Beiseker, and Balzac

This program is part of a joint commitment to support workforce development across Alberta. Through this partnership, employment support services are made available to help Albertans gain the skills, training, and opportunities they need to succeed in today’s labour market.
