2. I'm a job seeker. Can you connect me with employers who are hiring in my area?
Yes. Prospect works closely with employers across Alberta and has a strong understanding of current hiring trends and workforce needs.
Through our programs, hiring events, workshops, and employer partnerships, we can help you explore opportunities, strengthen your job search, and make valuable connections.
While Prospect is not a recruitment or placement agency, we regularly create opportunities for job seekers to connect directly with employers, learn about available opportunities, and better understand today's labour market.
Visit our Events page to see upcoming hiring events and employer engagement opportunities.
3. How is Prospect different from a recruitment agency?
Prospect's focus is helping people prepare for, find, and maintain meaningful employment.
We provide personalized support, career planning, skills development, job search assistance, workshops, hiring events, and access to resources that help job seekers build confidence and navigate today's labour market.
Recruitment agencies work primarily on behalf of employers to fill specific job openings.
Prospect works on behalf of job seekers, helping them develop the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to pursue employment opportunities and build long-term career success.
4. I don't live in Alberta/I don't have a work permit. Can I access your services?
To access Prospect's services, you must be a resident of Alberta and legally entitled to work in Canada. This includes Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and individuals with a valid work permit.
5. Is there a fee for Prospect's services?
No.
As a registered charity and not-for-profit organization, Prospect's services are provided at no cost to job seekers through funding from government contracts, grants, and donations.
