What is 5050 Marketplace?

5050 Marketplace showcases a diverse range of merchandise created from original works by our talented artists. From stunning paintings to intricate sculptures, whether you're looking for the perfect gift or seeking to infuse creativity into your home or office, the art available is sure to inspire.

The marketplace is named for its unique structure: 50 percent of each sale directly supports the participating artists, while the other 50 percent enhances Prospect’s programming. This way, every purchase not only supports the artists' growth but also contributes to a greater cause by supporting Prospect’s mission.

Meet Tara – One of Our First Featured Artists

We are excited to feature Tara as part of our first cohort of artists at 5050 Marketplace. Tara is an active participant in our Persons with Developmental Disabilities program's art stream and is passionate about using different colours and techniques in her creations. Her dream job is to be a greeter, welcoming people and helping them start their experience on a positive note.

Support Tara and the 5050 Marketplace

Through her art, Tara hopes to inspire others and share the joy and creativity she finds in the process. A portion of the proceeds from every sale at 5050 Marketplace this quarter supports Tara's art practice and employment journey, as well as the continued success of other artists.

To see Tara's and other artists’ work, visit Prospect’s Studio C at cSpace (#235, 1721 29th Avenue SW, Calgary). Your purchases make a difference and helps foster a vibrant, creative community.

5050 Marketplace is open Mon-Fri 10am-5pm and will also be open during the cSPACE Saturday Markets.
